OP Happy Hour

Date:

Thursday, January 28, 2010 - 12:30pm

Location:

TBD

Hey, it's been a while and I miss y'all! Let's get together for a seasonal OrangePolitics Happy Hour where we can meet up face to face for bonding, kvetching, etc. Community leaders are encouraged to come, so bring your favorite neighborhood activist or elected official.

Thursday, January 28th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Place to be determined, but I'm liking The Station lately...

Sorry that I won't be able to make it and get to talk with many of the OPers.  I've been planning to attend this forum (5-8PM) down in Raleigh: Transit in the Triangle: the Benefits for You and the Regionhttp://orangepolitics.advantagelabs.com/events/transit-in-the-triangle-t... I certainly hope to make the next Happy Hour.

Looking forward to meeting some of the folks here.George, I'd love to hear your report from the forum (and I'm probably not the only one); I'd like to attend, but it's not practical for me to make it out to Raleigh at that time of day.

I've added a feature that lets you RSVP here on this page. Please let us know if you are thinking about coming. (No commitment needed.)

Count me in, tentatively.  - c.

But I need to know where it will be.

Thanks,

ge

I was considering joining you, but I'm afraid I'll pass this time.  5:30 is a little early for me to make it to Carrboro from work, especially if I'm not exactly sure where I'm going.  ..but I'll probaly be reading about Ruby (on Rails) so I'll be thinking about you. ;)

Just to confirm: we will be meeting at the Station (next to Southern Rail).Lenore, I'll miss you. I'm hoping to do a happy hour in Hillsborough soon so maybe that'll be more convenient.

I'll be the one with a big "OP" on my t-shirt and a cute baby on my person.

Bora and I were planning to attend, but we didn't plan well and must take children to Tae Kwon Do (they've missed because of us a lot lately).  Please do expect us at the next one.  Regrets!

We had three elected officials, two people who managed local campaigns, and several other activists. A nice crowd, and venue worked quite well.Instead of planning at the last minute, I'd love to get ideas right now about what people would like to do for our next Happy Hour?  I've been talking about bringing it to Hillsborough for a while... but Ialso want to have it where students can join us as some will be working with OP this Spring.  How about somewhere in the downtown CH area in April?  R&R grill, Top of the Hill, Jack Sprat...?
