How do I recover my old OP account?

If you were registered on OP before we changed platforms in 2008, you already have an account here. Click here to access it, or read on for detailed directions.

It's very important to activate and use your existing OP account so that your previous comments and posts will be associated with the same identity. Here are more detailed instructions for accessing your existing account:

  1. Optional: Find a blog entry or verified comment by yourself, and you'll see your account name.
  2. Click here and enter your e-mail address (as used with OP.org) or the username identified in step 1.
  3. You will receive a new password by e-mail, which will allow you to log in and edit your profile. You can change your user name to anything you like Make sure you are logged in before commenting so that all of your contributions can be tracked under your account.

Let us know if you have any problems with this. If we do not have your correct e-mail address on file, simply contact us with the correct address. Thanks!
