Our forum for candidates for the Orange County Board of Commissioners (Democratic primary) will be moderated by local journalist Kirk Ross.
There are three separate elections for the Board of Commissioners:
At-Large: Bonnie Hauser, Barry Jacobs
District 1: Mia Burroughs
District 2: Mark Marcoplos, Earl McKee

Our forum for candidates for Orange County School Board will be moderated by former school board member Libbie Hough.
There are six candidates for four seats in this election: Greg Andrews, Tom Carr, Donna Coffey, Michael Hood, Brenda Stephens, and Rosa Williams.

Our forum for the Carrboro Board of Aldermen special election will be moderated by local journalist Kirk Ross.
There are three candidates for one seat in this election: Talal Asad, Bethany Chaney, and Theresa Watson.

OrangePolitics will be holding our fourth-annual live online candidate forums for the upcoming primary elections for the Orange County Board of Commissioners, the Orange County Sheriff and the Orange County School Board, as well as for the special election for the Carrboro Board of Aldermen.
Welcome to the open thread for tonight's Conversation With the Mayors. There are three candidates running unopposed for mayor in Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough:
- Alderwoman Lydia Lavelle is running unopposed for mayor of Carrboro.
- Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt is running unopposed for reelection as mayor of Chapel Hill.
- Mayor Tom Stevens is running unopposed for reelection as mayor of Hillsborough.
