This Week In Orange Politics: September 21-27

Though most of the Orange County's public bodies will be taking a break this week, the Chapel Hill Town Council will meet tonight to review a concept plan for new development on Rosemary Street and discuss several LUMO changes and special use permits.

CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERPERSONS 

  • There is no meeting this week. The next scheduled meeting is October 6th.

CHAPEL HILL TOWN COUNCIL

  • Public Hearing: Monday, September 21, 2015, at 7:00 pm, Chapel Hill Town Hall
    • The Council will open public hearings on a proposed special use permit and Meadowmont master land use plan amendment for the Tri-City Medical building project, located at the corner of Barbee Chapel Rd and NC-54.
    • The Council will also hold a public hearing related to LUMO changes affecting the Ephesus-Fordham form-based code.
    • The Council will also review a concept plan for Amity Station, a proposed housing development on Rosemary St. at the current site of Breadmen's.

CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO BOARD OF EDUCATION

  • There is no meeting this week. The next scheduled meeting is October 1st.

HILLSBOROUGH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

  • There is no meeting this week. The next scheduled meeting is September 28th.

ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

  • There is no meeting this week. The next scheduled meeting is September 28th.

ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

  • There is no meeting this week. The next scheduled meeting is September 28th.

  • Check out our calendar for the numerous forums coming up.
  • Our first online candidates forum, for the Hillsborough Board of Commissioner candidates, will be here on the site on Sunday, September 27th at 7:00 pm.
  • OWASA will hold its annual board of directors meeting Thursday, September 24 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel Hill Town Hall Council Chambers
