The Carrboro Board of Alderpersons and the Board of County Commissioners will meet this week. Chapel Hill, Hillsborough, and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Board of Education, however, do not meet. The Orange County Board of Education will be holding it's board retreat on Tuesday. A number of forums or candidate meet & greets are scheduled this week as well, including our Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Board forum on Sunday. Join us.
CARRBORO BOARD OF ALDERPERSONS
- Business Meeting: Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, at 7:30 pm, Carrboro Town Hall
- The Board will discuss working with the Orange County Board of Commissioners on the siting of a branch library in Carrboro.
- The Board will receive presentations from three firms vying to conduct a parking study for Carrboro.
CHAPEL HILL TOWN COUNCIL
- The Council will meet in closed session on Monday to discuss a personnel matter, but will not otherwise meet this week. Their next regular meeting will be October 14th.
CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO BOARD OF EDUCATION
- There is no meeting this week. The next meeting is scheduled for October 15th.
HILLSBOROUGH BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
- There is no meeting this week. The next meeting is scheduled for October 12th.
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
- Business Meeting: Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, at 7:00 pm, whitted Building, Hillsborough
- The public hearing on uses of the 2016 bond will continue.
- The Board will consider establishing a process and criteria to fund affordable housing projects using the FY 2015-16 Affordable Housing appropriation.
ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
- Board Retreat: Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, at 9:00 am, Whitted Building, Hillsborough
