1. Put a Bond Issue on the ballot to secure Bolin Creek Corridor as a public resource;

2. Complete implementation of the New Vision for Downtown Carrboro plan (see website: www.alexzaffron.com)

3. Use 'Austin Sustainability Matrix' -style prioritization scheme to put developers who won't meet our 15% affordability criteria at the back of the line (I proposed this, but it was rejected) and refine our criteria to reflect the size of families participating.

1. Implement the Bolin Creek Preserve by expanding the preservation map to extend northward to the Twin Creeks park site and the Earnhardt farm, seeking adoption of the plan by Orange COunty and UNC, compelling developers to dedicate open space along Bolin Creek, and seeking ownership and/or easements to ensure public accesibility to the Preserve.

2. Diversify commercial tax base by revisiting Northern Small Area Plan, redeveloping downtown in architecturally and historically appropriate ways that are pedestrian friendly and human-scaled, creating an inviting atmosphere for technology oriented spin-off companies from UNC.

3. Expand affordable housing opportunities by re-writing Carrboro's affordable housing density bonus, partnering with Orange County and Chapel Hill to build on a corner of the Greene tract, implementing the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness, and pursuing Low Income Housing Tax Credit affordable rental housing developments.
