Citizens who have not registered to vote but who are eligible to register to vote may do so during the Early Voting period. robocall from GOP

Just got a robocall asking me to vote against the sales tax increase. Caller did not identify who she was or on whose behalf she was calling, but when I looked up the number on google, it was the Orange Co. GOP. By the way, I live in northern Orange (Efland precinct). Anyone else getting this call?

I would love if you could do it, Paul. People hear quite enough from me around here as it is. Just click the first link inmy comment above, or look at the right sidebar under your name for a link that says Create content, then select Blog entry. You can just copy your comment and paste it in the body of the post. I recommend tagging it with the terms robocalls, Kevin Wolff, and stuff like that, but I can take care of that as long as you write the content.Thanks!

Here is the begininng of the message they left on my phone as transcribed by Vonage:Date: Oct 19 2011 06:41:59 PMFrom: Name Unavailable (19192451777)  "I apologize for the intrusion of this Robo call, but I have a very important message to share with you. The orange county tax payer about a vote this November 8 that will directly affect you. I only need 60 seconds of your time and attention on November 8, the orange county commissioners will put a referendum on the ballot for a quarter cents sales tax hike that will affect all of Orange County tax payers. You may remember we already defeated this tax hike in the last election but the commissioners didn't trust our vote the first time. So, here we are again in promoting this tax that we don't want or need. The commissioners will have spent $174,500 of our hard earned money. I urge you to vote against this tax. The commissioners say they want the revenue for schools and economic development, but we know what that" ... more. Please listen to your voicemail for the remainder of this message.

I checked the machine at 4pm -- Carrboro early voting finished with 57 for the day
