Here's a new thread for contintuing discussion of the Carrboro Board of Aldermen's attempt to make themselves whole. The meeting begins at 7pm tonight at Carrboro Town Hall, and I understand it will also be on cable.

THanks Elliot. I have never heard of anyone doing that in NC, but I shouldn't have assumed that it was impossible.

Disqualification for denying the being of Almighty God. Now that's a provision worth challenging!

In other states holding two offices, while not common, certainly isn't unheard of. The Mayor of Newark, Sharpe James, is also a NJ State Senator.

Well Mark K, it could be worse. It could say that you're disqualified for denying that God's a Republican.
