A breathtaking lack of vision so far
The fact that the Town is asking us fundamental questions, like "The purpose of the steering committee for the MLK/Estes Drive Focus Area should be..."What is an effective size for a steering committee?"What is an effective size for a steering committee?
Which of these decision-making processes do you prefer?"Thay also ask whather the Council or the Mayor should appoint the steering committee (NO).Frankly makes it seem like they have no idea what they're doing. I'm a huge fan of openness, but without structure and clear strategies we still end up feeling like we're wasting our time. Truly democratic processes require some scaffolding within which all particpants can operate based on consistent expectations and rules.
