Comments

I have officially invited ALL candidates standing for election (for whom I have e-mail) and also posted this on Facebook.  No RSVP necessary, but it's nice to know who is coming. This page has a signup button above. Click to let us know if you're coming, or say hey on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=115895288423811

Thanks for the invitation, Ruby. I have placed this event on my calendar and plan to attend. Clarence Birkhead Candidate for Sheriff A Progressive Sheriff for a Progressive County

The event will be a great way for candidates to reach out to young people in Chapel Hill. It will be at R & R grill from 6-8. A special on a certain orange drink will also be available. Come with you "I voted" sticker, and get a free Orange Politics sticker!

R & R has made up a special orange drink for us and it's dubbed an "early voter." (Have you voted yet?)  There will definitely be some candidates and elected officials and well as many OP regulars dropping in, so please come on out to be and be seen!

I'm dying to know: What's the recipe for the early voter drink?

Ugh

I have my 15th college reunion that night (at that national championship college down the road ;) ), so I can't come. Blech. Next time! Have a couple of extra early voters for me!

I just want to thank everyone who came and to give a shout-out to the candidates: Clarence Birkhead, Renee Price, Will Atherton, and all three at-large commissioner candidates Barry Jacobs, Joal Broun, and Joe Phelps!  Also nice to see elected officials Mark Chilton and Ed Harrison.Thank you to R & R Grill for being excellent hosts, thanks to the students for organizing it, and thanks to Lindsay Britt for taking great pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lbritt24/sets/72157623773458503/
